What level should I be for NG+ Dark Souls 1? ›

Anywhere from 90-180 seems about right for a normal playthrough. However, NG+ can be done with a level 1 character, provided you are clever enough. So, I wouldn't say there is a strict minimum to be safe there, just once you feel comfortable beating all of the NG content, move on to the NG+ content for more challenge.

Most people say it's approximately 50% harder. It's a lot more fun in my opinion, and if you are at any level over 110 or so then you're good to go for the most part, as long as you have upgraded weapons and armor. The amount of souls you get is increased as well, so that will help with leveling.

You can play through the game a total of eight times, including the first play through. This means you can eventually go to NG + 7, Or NG+++++++. After this, the game stops scaling, though you can keep beating it infinitely.

You retain all your items (except Key Items), however your story progress is reset and you must beat the game again.

To achieve 100% in Dark Souls we will have to complete two full playthroughs & a half playthrough of the game all on the same character (NG++). Certain Rare Weapons can only be made using multiple copies of the same Boss Soul, which we only get one of per playthrough.

If an NPC dies... that's it. They are dead for the rest of the play through. There's no way to revive them (except for one that I won't spoil). Yes, they respawn in NG+.

New Game Plus, also New Game+ (NG+), is a game mechanic in Dark Souls. It is a restart of the game with increased difficulty where the player character retains most of their stats and items from the initial playthrough.

A lot of people will tell you to stop at 120 or 125 but the best level to stop is 122. If you're interested in pvp then you'll probably join the Dark Wraiths. The way invading works is you subtract 10 levels plus an additional ten percent of your total soul level.

The story and events in New Game+ are identical to New Game. The primary difference is an increase in game difficulty, in the form of more powerful enemies, and greater reward in souls for their defeat. The player keeps all non-story based acquired weapons, armor, items, and rings.

Bring both the large ember and the very large ember to Andrei. Andre does it if you've gotten the Very Large Ember from New Londo. If you have a +14 (Very Large Ember required to ascend +10 to +11) weapon already you need to find a titanite slab, then you can reinforce it to +15 anywhere, even at the bonfire.

Best is to either go strength or Dex, even for a first playthrough. The game has more than enough replay value to do a run with either. If you go with a dex build, leveling up strength to 14 or 16 will allow you to use most dex weapons.
