Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Crescent Rolls - This dough makes this recipe super easy. You could also swap it for pizza dough or homemade dough.
  • Cheese Sticks - Low moisture mozzarella cheese sticks - yes, the kind from your childhood lunch box. You could also use grated low moisture mozzarella or even swap for another cheese of your choice if you're not into it.
  • Salted Butter - If you're using unsalted butter, be sure to add a hefty pinch of kosher salt.
  • Olive Oil - Olive oil is ideal but you could use another oil if you wanted.
  • Garlic - Fresh, chunky garlic is the bet for this recipe. You could use the shelf stable variety if you had to.
  • Parsley - Parsley doesn't add so much flavor but it really does bring out the goodness in the sauce. Plus, it adds color.
  • Red Pepper Flakes - Totally optional but i love that they add the slightest bite!
  • Garlic Salt - You could absolutely use garlic powder and salt if you don't have two in one garlic salt seasoning.
