It’s such acommon recipe, there are a gazillion Honey Lime Fruit Salad recipes on the internet, in recipe books, magazines, and anywhereelse you look.

Juice

There’s one little addition we add to it to give it amazing flavour. Pineapple juice in the dressing makes a difference! The honey is GREAT if you have some fruit on the sour side. The lime juice gives it a bit of a beautiful, tangy kick. However, adding pineapple juice gives it a hint of sweetness, and can’t put your fork (or spoon) down type of situation.

If you’ve never tried a Honey Lime Fruit Salad with the addition of a tropical pineapple, do yourselves a favour and PLEASE go run into your kitchens!

Serving suggestion

Try it with this Coconut Whipped Cream, or this 3-Ingredient Double Chocolate Mousse!

Some Honey Lime Fruit Salad Tips:

  • We leave out bananas in our fruit salads because of the empowering banana flavour being absorbed by the other fruit. You can add banana if youwish! I recommend adding it just before serving.
  • You can substitute pineapple juice for orange juice or apple juice.
  • Use any fruits you like! Add in blackberries, pomegranates, pear, apple, orange slices, mandarin slices, peaches, apricots, the choices are endless.

Two weeks ago, we entertained with a very special dinner. I made this Honey Lime Fruit Salad for dessert. I made it earlier in the day so that it would have time to marry with the honey-lime-pineapple syrup and yet not get mushy. I made it exactly as posted. I literally saw some guests’ eyes “pop” at their first bites. Then I listened to them “singing” with mmmm’s as they ate. One guest kept asking how I made it until I printed the recipe for her. She was all smiles. Now, you can tell that it makes a lot. I put the extra pineapple in a container for later. I poured a lot of the juice into our morning juice . For a few days afterward, we put the fruit into our oatmeal and had it for evening dessert. We did not tire of it. In fact, I need to make more!

This is a wonderful fruit salad recipe. I left out mangoes and added blackberries – because that’s what I had on hand. We thought the dressing was perfect – not too sweet but pulled all the ingredients together very nicely. Thank you!

Try adding poppy seeds (about 1 Tlb) It makes the fruit really beautiful and and adds a bit of Tea Room elegance. It’s the “tie” that goes with the suit, or the jewelry that finishes the perfect outfit. I promise you will love it! I shall try the pineapple – you all try the poppy seeds.
