The Norwegian Aviation Museum is a well-organized and fascinating museum that celebrates aviation of all types, including military and civilian. The displays are interactive and feature exhibits in multiple languages. Visitors can spend hours exploring both the military and civil sections, which focus on airplanes and aviation history in general. In addition to interesting exhibitions, the museum also has a restoration workshop for vintage aircraft. Overall, this cool museum is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Bodo.

You can spend hours here. Lots to learn and see. They have both a military section aswell as a civil section. Both sections focus on airplanes and aviation in general. You must go here if you are in Bodø.

The museum offers a big collection of aviation history, I was really surprised to find such a gem here!Sadly they did some work on the public aviation part so we couldn't see much of that, but we wouldn't have had time anyway since the military part had us occupied until they closed. We were there for about three hours and we couldn't see everything we wanted so I'd suggest getting there early enough. One big plus which I didn't see in many other museums is that you can touch many of the pieces at display, which in my opinion adds a lot to the experience.

Great museum! Tons of reading material, tons of unique exhibits! The reception has information in many languages of the world. Convenient location two kilometers from the airport. I recommend to visit everyone, it will be interesting for all ages!

A magnificent and very extensive museum! Definitely worth the (reasonably priced) admission fee. Large exhibitions on military and civilian aviation, along with plenty of information about the history of "human flight". You can even visit the air traffic control tower. There is also an interactive section with various tests and games for children and those young at heart.

From an American point of view I thought this was an excellent museum. Clean, open, many of the exhibits were in several languages. It will take about 2 hours to see it thoroughly. From an aviation enthusiast point of view it was great to see that all aviation was celebrated and not just the Norwegian history, though that was obviously emphasized. Great history, cool museum. The control tower was fun too.

If you have any interest in aviation this is a definite do not miss. Suggest to do the civil section first as this traces the history of flight from its earliest beginnings up to the present day. There is a focus on Norway and Scandinavia which makes it especially interesting. The exhibits are very interesting and one is left wanting more! The military section has a wide range of exhibits, some of which are rarely seen today. Highly recommended. There is parking outside which is free up to 3 hours.

We chose to visit a museum as a backup plan because the weather was bad. We do not regret! A large museum with a lot of civilian and military aircraft and equipment from the oldest to modern, such as the F16 Falcon. Everything is displayed in two large halls. Definitely recommend a visit!

I was on an excursion from a cruise and were very excited to visit the museum. However, as we approached the entrance, we were met with two flights of stairs. I looked for a ramp but didn’t see one. There were no signs. We saw the top of the ramp after we’d struggled up the stairs.Once in the museum we really enjoyed the exhibits, but there so many choices of pathways, we soon got turned around. Searching for the gift shop or the exit, we kept opening doors to more stairs. After some time we stumbled upon an elevator! When we pressed H, marked Exit, we were faced with more museum displays! We had no idea where to go. We finally came out at the entrance to the gift shop. Some signage in English would be an immense help!

Absolutely brilliant museum detailing the history of aviation in Norway right from the very beginning right up to the current day.The only spoiler was having to pay for the privilege of parking there in additiontothe entry fee for the museum. I have no choice but to drive there as my wife is disabled.

Very nice museum for those interested in aviation. Most exhibits don't have any fence so you can actually walk all the way up to the planes!

I recently visited the aviation museum in Bodø and was blown away by the sheer number of planes and displays on offer. The military section of the museum was particularly interesting, with several rooms filled with real planes that have played a significant role in the history of Norwegian aviation. There were also plenty of displays showcasing plane engines and other aircraft components, along with informative explanations about how they work. The civil aviation section of the museum was equally impressive, with a wide variety of planes on display ranging from small private planes to larger commercial airliners. There were also several interactive exhibits that provided a deeper understanding of the science behind flight. While the museum was a bit pricey, I found it to be well worth the cost. The 2-3 hour tour gave me plenty of time to explore all the exhibits and learn more about the rich history of aviation in Norway. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the aviation museum in Bodø for anyone with an interest in planes and aviation.
