Want to dial up your game-day spread or treat the family to some delicious snacking? That’s the perfect time to make frozen pretzels in the air fryer!

I am always amazed at how hot and fresh these frozen soft pretzels turn out in just 5 minutes flat.

My favorite part is sprinkling the loose salt from the box on top before cooking them to give them that burst of salty goodness!

Here’s what I’m going to teach you in this post:

  • The 5-minute method for making frozen soft pretzels in the air fryer
  • My recommendations for frozen soft pretzel brands
  • Other snacks or appetizers to round out your ideal game-day spread
  • Some ideas for making other flavors of soft pretzels in the air fryer
  • How to store and reheat leftover soft pretzels

I always used to wonder what to do with frozen pretzels. They turn out too tough and chewy in the microwave, but they take forever to make in the oven.

Once I discovered making frozen soft pretzels in the air fryer, I’ve never cooked them any other way!

Best of all, because they’re ready so fast, I can throw a couple in the air fryer at a moment’s notice.

From appeasing a cranky kid to feeding hungry fans on game day, soft pretzels are a sure way to save the day.

STEP THREE: Air fry at 320 degrees F for 3-5 minutes or until cooked through. Serve hot.

How Long Do You Cook Frozen Soft Pretzels in the Air Fryer?

This will depend on your specific model of air fryer as well as what brand of frozen soft pretzel you use.

My recommendation is to check on the pretzel at the 3-minute mark, then add 1-2 minutes if it isn’t warmed all the way through.

You want the outside to be hot and crispy while the insides are tender and fluffy!

What Brand of Frozen Pretzel Should You Use?

I personally love making Auntie Anne’s frozen pretzels in the air fryer. That’s the brand that speaks to me!

That being said, you can pretty much use any brand you like. I know some people swear by SuperPretzel while others have their favorite store-brand variety.

Honestly, it’s pretty hard to go wrong making a frozen pretzel in the air fryer, so feel free to use whatever brand you like the best!

Can You Add Different Flavors to Air Fryer Frozen Pretzels?

You bet! If you’re looking for a sweet pretzel, try brushing the tops lightly with melted butter or coconut oil and then sprinkling with a mix of cinnamon and sugar. This version is absolutely heavenly!

You could also melt some butter and stir in minced garlic or garlic powder, then brush the tops of the soft pretzels with the mixture before cooking.

Who doesn’t love that added garlic flavor?

If you’re craving garlic parmesan, however, I would recommend waiting to add the cheese until after the soft pretzel finishes cooking so it doesn’t burn.

Just open the air fryer basket, sprinkle shredded parmesan on the pretzel, then close the air fryer basket for one more minute.

The residual heat will help melt the cheese into the pretzel.

What to Do With Leftover Soft Pretzels

If you have extra pretzels, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

When you’re ready to reheat them, I recommend popping the leftover soft pretzels back in the air fryer at 320 degrees F for 2-3 minutes until hot and crispy.
