Chili has always been one of my favorite cold weather foods – there’s just something so comforting and soul warming about it. And my Chipotle Chicken Chili Recipe has an extra boost of flavor heat to warm you up! Made with crumbled ground chicken and Italian sausage, this chili is packed with protein and is incredibly satisfying.
I’ve made this recipe many times, and it’s always well received. It can feed large crowds and is relatively inexpensive to make. And at just 7 Smart Points per serving, this chili recipe tastes like a splurge but is absolutely guilt free.
If I have the time, I will let this cook for 3-5 hours…because the longer it cooks, the tastier it is. I also love serving it with a dollop of sour cream or shredded cheddar cheese, and some fresh chopped red onions. So yummy.
Need a dish for game day or Super Bowl Sunday? This Chipotle Chicken Chili is it! Enjoy.
The perfect thick and hearty meal for a chilly day, this spicy chili is a real bargain.

Are there tomatoes in this recipe or just the tomato paste? It looks like there’s tomatoes in the picture, but I didn’t see them listed in the recipe. Made this tonight and it didn’t look so appetizing. Looks can be deceiving, though, because it was delicious! I ended up adding a can of diced salsa style tomatoes.

I made this chili today for a houseful of football and basketball game watchers and it was a hit! I’m going to add it to my chili rotation. I did tweek it a little because I was trying to use up some items in my freezer so… I used 1 lb lean ground turkey, 1 lb lean ground beef, 1/2 lb ground pork, and 1/2 lb. hot italian sausage. It had a great depth of flavor and I was only able to let it simmer for 90 minutes. I’m sure it would be even better after 2 hours!
