- Dorsey stated that the "Cabbage Cookies, Spicy Jang Hui Clams, Monk Gyatso's Fruit Pies, and Stewed Sea Prune Soup" were some of her favorite dishes in the book.[5] On her TikTok account, she also especially recommended Flaming Fire Flakes, Fire Gummies, Foggy Swamp Chicken, Cactus Juice, and Unfried Dough.[9]
- The book initially included dishes which showcased a stronger link to Korra's lifetime, but were taken out as the focus was supposed to be on Aang's era.[8]
