We were very pleasently surprised with the museum.You get plastic "slippers" you need to be wearing around the museum. There are a few rooms to see before you get to the room with the statue. When you get to the statue, you are escorted to the room by an employee who is in with you since you are not allowed to take photos and, of course, touch the statue.At the end, you can buy the souvenirs.

A must do if you are visiting this part of Croatia.The museum itself is worth a visit just for its design.The exhibit and its story is fascinating even for those who have no interest in statues.Please do go and support this gem.We visited in early May, no queues.

Although the entire museum is build around one statue from antic Greece it has plenty of content worth seeing. I definitely recommend it. Price of a ticket is 10 euro.

It is almost unbelievable that the museum has succeeded so well to elaborate the story around its only exhibit. By entering the museum, the story of Apoksiomen slowly grows to the final culmination when you come to the grandiose statue. However, the statue can only be seen through the opening but it is still worth to visit museum and see this attraction.

Modern Museum with great and stylish storytelling (after several informative rooms, you'll finally meet Apoxyomenos in a white room/no photos allowed in there). This award winning museum located in grad Mali Lošinj features a magnificent bronze statue of Apoxyomenos who was discovered in the seabed near the island of Lošinj.The first, cool and darkened section of the museum set the scene by representing the temperature and look of the sea floor where Apoxyomenos was found.There were interactive information displays detailing the origins of Apoxyomenos, his discovery, being recovered and raised from the sea floor, painstakingly restored and repaired and an analysis of his construction approximately 2000 years ago.As one progresses through the Museum it becomes apparent how significant a find this relatively well preserved specimen is.Eventually, as you ascend through the floors, one finally catches a glimpse of Apoxyomenos himself.Reaching the top, majestic in his climate controlled room, you are finally confronted with the mighty ancient Greek athlete.Definitely worth a visit. Allowing him less than an hour is an injustice.

Nice adventure area for kids .. different pools with different attractions.. surprisingly with sea water .. one star missing as the hygiene and security is not perfect - better keep a close eye on kids .. entry is free for guests staying at cikat camping

Clean and well kept campground. The beach is mainly rocky, with a section of beach with gravel. Good contact and service.

Good aquapark, you can easily spend 2-3 hours with kids. We went during workday, after lunch, was not crowded. There is restaurant there, gym, change room, showers, etc. You need to pay for sun lounger (13 eur). Best fit for kids till 12y.

The park was ok, not great not terrible (3/5) little stuff not much to do but i liked the saltwater pools.They lost another star because the pool literally has a hole in it and i hurt my foot (in America they would get sued for it but Croatians are normal).But main bad point is the price… make the entrance 80kn per person instead of 130kn and i give you a 5/5 for the price/quality 😎

Fabulous and fun! Kids had a fantastic time at the park. Waterslides were great and kids loved the kids park as well. Hours of fun! Sun chairs and umbrella also very reasonably priced.

Really nice! Deserve a visit if you are with kids in the area.The camping have lot of space, and incredible shadow. We thought was too big but was a really enjoyable stay in the camping have free entrance to the park.We also have lunch 2 days in the swimming pool bar, as is not so expensive.Really nice!

Very nice aquapark with salt water. What surprised me was that apart of entrence fee, or in my case included in the price of camping, there were additionally paid sunbeds and lockers. Also most od attractions mentioned are not so fun as described. For a week I havent nicticed auaqaerobic or dance classic.So this was very much dissapointing.

We are in glamping tents. Tent is nice and clean. It is quiet location although it is huge!Coast is mostly rocky but you can find pebble beaches for small kids. We like this place.

Nice park with a lot of beaches. You can chose small or bigger one, in sun or shade.

Great place for full soul and body relax, walking, hiking, swimming and sunbathing, very healthy and ideal also for people who have allergies cause forest is real medicine, perfect for summer holidays, specially Villa Macaklin which is only one real holiday home in this part of heaven. Perfect. We will be back again soon.

Very nice staff and instructor. Most important- I felt safe diving with them. I will definitely dive again with them. Went on 2 dives on 2 different locations. Also you can pay in EUR.

The place is run by very nice czech people. We were total beginner and they managed to teache us everything. Highly recomend paying the visit if you are nearby.

Good vibes, easy going. Uncomplicated and good gear.

First, the pros. The people were very helpful and friendly. And the equipment was nice and in good condition. It was also more affordable than nearby dive centers. However, it is so unfortunate that the actual dives were so poor! We did two dives, both wall dives that were pretty short and uninteresting. There wasn't a lot of life and it was just boring. We ended coming up with tanks still half full and plenty of time to spare.

Good dives with this center. Dive sites well known and well indicated. Good english spoken and can pay as well with Euro as Kuna. I recommand sincerely.

One more amazing place on Velebit and this time it is on the sea. Pictures will show it so I do not need to write too much. It is easily reached from Jablanac walking by the sea.

Amazing place to visit if you’re vacationing near this area!! 10/10 would recommend

It is stated to cost 30 HRK, but we've met no-one who ask for it.You can go down on foot from the viewpoint that is Southeast from the tip of the valley. It takes about 25-30 minutes and you can park your car at the viewpoint you have to walk back from the viewpoint roughly 3 minutes and the turn left, through harsh rocky sights for about 5 minutes, then there is an easier path after. There's toilet down there.You really should not forget your gopro in the car as I did :)It is really beautiful and not really colder, even though others state so.

It's very beautiful and path is good but it costs 30 kuna per person if you go by the sea. Maybe there is an alternative route but we weren't able to find it.

It is NOT free if you walked from Jablanac! There is a paying post before canyon, 5 eur/person, including child. ONLY CASH, so be prepared. In the bay the water is colder and we did not see any fish in shallow water. However the underwater ferry is amazing, fishes everywhere around it so definately worth to see and snorkel here (no offical place to reach it, you can swim there from bay or just jump to water). If you are lucky there will be no rude yacht crew in middle of bay, screaming and jumping...

Nice enough beach, not lots of sand as typical of this side of Rab but water is beautifully clear with lots of marine life.

There is actually no Suha Punta beach as I realized. It’s a sequence of nice beaches along the rocky shore, with a few small stone beaches in between. There are also two big resorts, one abandoned and the other one fully functional. Due to their presence, there are a lot of concrete and stone structures representing beaches, stairs, benches, etc. Nice and adventurous experience with a cool beach bar for the coffee after.

Beautiful sandy beach in the island of Rab, infront is a small island that you can cross with a bike boat. There you can do some snorkeling with your sport camera 📸The difference between Jesolo Italy and Lopar, the people in Lopar is not so friendly. The restaurant waitresses are friendly, but the little stores who selling swimming products; they never smile, they never want to ingage ( connect ) with the customers. Unfortune I think, they supposed to attract more tourists, but their behaviour I feel it "not polite".Do I want to go back to Lopar?Yes, I think besides that the stores owner or supermarket not friendly; Lopar is very beautiful ❤️ the food is good 👍PS : The chairs and umbrella 🏖️ cost €19,50. You come to the beach, choose which one that you like to sit. Later on come a guy with little machine, you pay him, you'll get a receipt 🧾

Pretty "wild" peninsula; with hard rocky/gravel roads, and stone beaches with, sometimes, difficult entrance to the sea. The safari bar has delicious food and benches with a great view to spend time with your company.

Very nice park. 15 euro fee for one car for one day. Easy to buy a ticket online with car plate number. Be aware, very rocky roads. The park has access to numerous small and big beaches with their own charm. By car you can reach almost all the beaches with a small walk.

Don’t even think to get there by bike. It was a horrible experience. All paths are full of rocks, it’s really difficult to ride a bike here. All beaches were full of people. It’s impossible to find a place. Bars don’t accept cards. When we reached Safari bar we realized that it makes no sense to continue looking for a good beach. We decided to go back. There were lots of cars on the road and we were going through the white dust which is everywhere. I don’t understand why people are going to this place. Other beaches are the same but not as crowded as here.

Definitely worth visiting! There is a fee that you can pay at the entrance if you are going there by car. There is a restaurant there and some small bars.

Great peninsula with tons of beaches, cliffs, bays and bars

I must admit, it is an interesting area to visit. But definitely not for swimming and sunbathing.First off all so called "beaches" are very rocky, and the few sqm that you have available in perhaps a handful of them are packed. Even there the beach is not sandy at all but more, earthy/muddy.Secondly, 15 EUR entrance fee is way too much for what you get.

Dog friendly, because of all the paths and nature. No trash bins and very dusty from cars. I wouldn't allow cars in Natural Park, go green or go home. You can tell they only care about $$$ once you buy an entrance ticket nobody tells you to keep the receipt till the end, to be able to exit the park, and they could at least give you a bin bag so there wouldn't be so much trash everywhere. Keep it wild and go by foot or with bike like we did. 😉

It was cool. We pulled up here with our big body benz. Then we met some crazy guys from Slovenia who were jumping intoxicated.

Nature and see are great, but a rocky road needs to be fixed. It will be great to have a better sign for a famouse rocks you can jump from into the see.

Even though the car ride is a bit long, it is completely worth it in the end. Could spend weeks here and explore a different "beach" (aka wild beach) every day.Great for adventurists and privacy-loving people, but also if you like sitting in bars and hanging around other people.

The first impression was good, but after that, it was a huge disappointment. By boat, it took us three hours to get there, we were happy to be able to rest a bit, but the sight was a disappointment. There weren't any shady place, there were just "sun beds" to stay on for three hours, but it was way too expensive. There were also inappropriate things, like garbage, and other things.. After a while, it was very irritating and disgusting

The island itself is nice but poorly organised. Sunbeds occupy the whole beach, which ruins the wilderness of the island, the bar is nice but plays very loud music. If you are looking for a peaceful island, I recommend to go to fratarski otok instead. The taxi boat is a joke 😅 with questionable drivers.

The island is cool, unfortunately a bit overcrowded and definitely better on the photos or leaflets.In real I wasn’t that impressed as I thought I will be. Nice to visit but if you skip the trip it’s fine as well.

The beach is really nothing special, 20m of sand, crowded, entrance in the sea is awful. I dont get it why this place is popular... And yes ofcourse, croatian tourism as always, macchiato from the machine is 17kn. Dont go there.

This secret place is a gem of the Adriatic coast! The nature and the see are marvelous! If you are planing your vacation on the island Cres or Lošinj then this place must be on your list. The view is excellent!

Sea is really beautiful, crystal clear green water with amazing view on cliffs, the only downgrade is that the beach is not pebbles but heavy rocks so I recommend shoes for water. And one more downgrade is that the place is full of wasps and hornets so be preppared for that.

Great cove to swim and jump from cliffs into the crystal clear water. Sadly it is very tight so you'll have to cuddle up to the neighbors. Waves are low enough for kids and even next to the cliffs is not a big current. You will see many different types of fish, vultures, and other underwater dwellers. The walk back up is intense, so save some energy. Parking is available at the top of the cliff.

Our adventure here started with two bikes 15 km away from Mali Bok, we were in camping.Definitely the long road (and not an easy one) worth the view when we we approaching and also breathtaking when we arrived. I would go again anytime.

Very beautifull. Was at winter whit my girlfriend. You are alone there at winter. Peacfull,just noise of sea and croatian garbage which sea throw out on the beach. My girlfriend was scared when l was driving down to the beach which path is closed at the summer because of many people at summer. Recomend to all to go there :)

Truly family run winery with friendly and relax atmosphere. The wine tasting was excellent. Organic and natural for both traditional and experimental Istrian wine. The cold cut and cheese platter was sourced from local artisans and paired beautifully with the wine. Highly recommend.

This was the most incredible experience I’ve had at a winery! The wine was absolutely incredible and Bruno and his staff welcomed us like we were family. Trapan’s Syrah Moia, one of the top 100 Syrah’s in the world, was by far the best wine I’ve ever had. It is truly the perfect wine for any occasion. If you come to Pula you absolutely have to come here! I cannot recommend it enough!! You get to look at the beautiful dogs while enjoying unique wines with the most amazing flavours that you can’t experience anywhere else!

One of the highlights of out holiday! Great atmosphere, sunny day sitting outside, surrounded by dogs and goats while tasting amazing wines. We had a 'premium' testing and a mixed selection of cheese and cured meat. Wines were delicious, homemade, organic, local grape; food was local and tasty. Definitely worth a stop. Breathtaking. I felt free as never on the top!But very stressful road up. Suggest to go by motorbikes or bicycles, because you won’t fit two cars on the road. Watch out for your tires 😀

Loved it!!The hike to the beach isn't very steep at the beginning but later on there are some parts where it is pretty steep and can get slippery. My gf and I wore regular sneakers and we found that to be sufficient (hiking shoes are not mandatory, and we some some folks in flip flops). It took us 45min in both directions, and for us it was probably easier to go up. As for the directions, the signs are always visible and are easy to follow.At the beach, there's shade in the boundary areas but it's limited, so have that in mind.Also, bring plenty of water and enough food since there are no shops or bars down there. You can refil your water in the town of Lubenice, once you're back up.

Wonderful beach, was there end of June so it wasn't crowded. If you're going on foot, wear proper shoes and bring water.

Absolutely stunning beach! The beach is clean, made of pebble stones, the water is crystal clear, transparent, swimming in such an amazing place (you are looking at the town of Lubenice on the cliff is simpli breathtaking)!It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the town of Lubenice after leaving the main road. The path is narrow, surrounded with stone wall. So pay attention. After entering the town a big parking is on the left and the beginning of the hiking trail (that is - path to the beach) is located near the coffee bar.The signs along the path are very well marked. It takes approximately 1 h downhill and 1.5 h uphill. The upper part of the bath is throughout the woods so if has a lot of shade but some parts are a bit slippery (stones) so hiking shoes or sneakers are obligatory!!A wonderful experience on Cres.I visited on a cloudy day, the water was freezing but the experience is unforgettable. ❤️

Awesome beach. Definitely worth a visit. Easiest way to get there is by boat. The hike from Lubenice is quite daunting. Make sure you bring a lot of water and food as there are no shops on the beach. The hike is quite difficult, not for children and mostly on sun. You can park your car in Lubenice. The remote location ensures that the beach is not crowded. Very good place for snorkelling. There is no shade on the beach so make sure you have some sun cover. The beach is made of large pebbles so bring some soft throw. We will definitely come back if we visit the island again.

Beautiful beach with an amazing 1 hour down and 2 hours up hike. If you are visiting it on foot, take comfortable shoes, and prepare yourself for a very long walk. Do not go on your flip flops, trekking shoes are ideal but you'll be fine with sneakers. Remember to take water, you'll need it. Specially on your way up. It was perhaps my best experience while in Cres.

Lubenice is a small village on Cres island, Croatia. Built on the cliff overlooking the coast, it is a remnant of the past with its old stone houses. To reach beach, there is an steep downhill walk on a hiking trail.

Awesome place. I recommend to get here by boat taxi. It also possible to reach this beach on foot, but it takes minimum 1hour (for us, it was 1,5 hour)

Spectacular beach with nice views! Surprisingly cold/warm water - odd phenomenom during snorkling (blurred vision).

Beautiful cobble beach, the water is clear and very cold.There's a public parking (5kn/h) and a private parking (10kn/h or 30kn for the full day). The machine to pay the public parking only accepts coins, you can also use cards but for some reasons it didn't work when I tried, and the display is broken so it's almost unusable causing long waiting queues.

This is our favorite beach in Krk. The colors were obsolutly amazing. Water was realy clear but also cold. You can take a trail to see the other beach near it. Parking available, private and public. There is also a beach bar. I sugget to visit it!

One of the best beaches on Krk Island that are easy reachable on foot. Gorgeous white pebbles with a turquoise sea. It is also well known for underwater freshwater springs which makes the water a bit cooler in this bay than in some near bye. Unfortunately now it gets crowded which was not the case 10 years ago.On the right side, the cliffs are perfect and easy climbed jumping spot.

Worthy to enter if you are in Senj, but I would not recommend driving more than 30minutes to get here if you plan it from nearby towns. There is a nice view but nothing more than that.

The view is marvelous from the bottom of the fortress and from the top! The fortress is in a brilliant condition. Tge space seems to be used for events. It tells the story of the region. The displays of costumes are very good as well as the types of the used weapon. Information is in Croatian, English, German and Italian. Very easy access and good parking.

We spent some hours around the fortress in early September 2021.It definitely offers a lovely view from the hill and a restaurant as well as parking spots right beside Nehaj. We didn't go inside the fortress, because we had our dog with us (usually they're not allowed in such buildings, but we can't say for sure for Nehaj), but walking the paths around the fortress also was time well spent.

Definitely worth a visit if you are heading to Senj. The fortress is very well maintained, given it's almost 500 years old and the military artifacts on display inside are well presented and documented. Great views too over Senj and the neighbouring islands from the roof viewing areas.

Closed unfortunately when I visited in February, but it has stunning views of Senj and Krk island. So its worth visiting just for that. The castle is in decent shape. Can park at the top.

Great place to visit and have a lunch at. Really significant historical location for Croatia that is well explained and beautifully presented inside the fortress. A must in my opinion if you are in that region. Of course, the view from the top is amazing and there is a well equipped children playground some 100m from the fortress.

Nice place to visit. Views from Nehaj Fotress rooftop is great, also form windows inside as well. Entrance tickets are within good range of prices. Restaurant is nice. I really liked that Fortress kitchen atmosphere. Tomato soup and pancakes with jam and chocolate where great.

Nicely reconstructed fortress, with great view. Free parking just next to it (around it), though easily reachable on foot from marina. On the ground floor there is also coffee place and restaurant (took pictures of the menu, but did not eat there). Entry to the fortress only paid with cash, in the restaurant possible with card also.

Good place for a short walk, you can park right next to it, i couldn't find the road though. You can see what women and men wore back in the day, some really nice guns, they even have old necklaces, rings, swords ex. The only thing that bothers me is that they made it like restaurant which is kind of not really what's supposed to be. The ice cream is good though.

Really nice and well rebuilt castle with a great view at Senj and the Bay Area.Also the included Museum give a lot and interesting information about the past and the former “pirate” owners of the castle.It’s worth the €5 per person.

Nice old fortress located above Senj. The view is amazing. There is a parking lot. In the fortress is a museum which can be accessed for a small fee.

Senj’s landmark that can be seen from far away driving towards the town. There is sufficient parking right next to it (gravel, can ve quite dusty). You can find a restaurant here (Konoba Tvrdava Nehaj) that is open everyday from 10:00-24:00. There is lots of tables outside with shade, but it’s still very hot during the day. Entry to the castle is 5 eur for adults, 2 eur for children, 10 eur for families. Nice views as well. Definitelly check it out if driving through.

Nicely preserved castle. Worth a short visit if you haven't seen several other castles. In the evening you can visit the restaurant inside it, with no entrance fees.

It is a very nice and educational place, where you can learn about the history of Senj. You can go on top of the fortress and enjoy the view. There is a restaurant and it's not expensive. There are a lot of walking paths around the fortress and one of them leads to the kids playground.

Its the only place with real shade.Nice trees give a good protection.Ambiance is perfect, directly situated at the promenade and view over the sea.Good drinks for reasonable prices.BUT waiters seems to be nerved having guests around. Prefer sitting at their table instead walking around. If you order sonething it is like, "ok, If you really want i will do it".. .

Nice, shady bar that's great for an afternoon break from the sun. Relaxed atmosphere in the evening as well. A large range of reasonably priced drinks are available (Beer ~€4.50, co*cktails €7-8). Staff were always nice and friendly, but could be just that little bit more attentive and quicker to earn that 5th star.

The aquarium isn't very large but it's an great experience to see these magnificent creatures that live in seas and oceans of this planet.Learn for yourself and teach your children to appreciate this life that is so unknown to most of us, yet so undervalued, easily exploited and destroyed.

The Aquarium in Crikvenica offers a fascinating glimpse into Adriatic marine life. Last week we visited the aquarium, the kids were enjoing it immensely.The staff are really kind and helpful.The size of the shark's tank must be a torture for them indeed, but they surely deserve it (no! in this century either give them enough space or don't hold them in this cruel captivity condition).BTW, I unethically reported my little son's age younger than he is just to spare a couple of kunas. Please, give us the business IBAN number, I will pay for the proper kid's entrance fee or even more to help to improve the situation.

Its a cool see, but i have seen better. The price might be a bit expensive for what youre able to see, its quite a small space but i still loved the experience. Its a good "adventure" when you know you wont miss the money you spent on it :)

A place to go if you want to witness animal abuse with your own eyes and pay 24 euros for it. These poor animals barely have any room to swim or move. It's extremely devastating to see. No living creature deserves to live like this.

Very positively surprised. We expected it to be a smaller aquarium, but this one is quite large and you can see a variety of fish. Really nice aquarium, well maintained and clean. The entrance fee is not too expensive - for what it offers, the price is equal. The kids were very excited, and also we. At the exit we also bought a souvenir that reminds us of the great experience in the aquarium. Staff is very friendly, smiling, helpful. All praise also for such a nice attitude towards customers.

The aquarium is a bit small, but it is great. They have many fish species, some smaller sharks as well, and the info cards were really informative. I definitely recommend visiting when you are in Crikvenica, especially since it is located in the city centre.

Good place, it is a bit little, but there are interesting fishes and sea animals. The entrace ticket is 8 euro, I would say it is worth to visit on a rainy day. My favourite was the medusa aquarium.

Quite a few interesting inhabitants of the local sea (and some others as well). It's rather compact but still worth it if you plan to spend more than 2 days in Crikvenica.

Depressing experience. Fish are cramped into tiny tanks. Some look visibly sick. Shark tank is miserable, absolutely no enrichment for the sharks. There's one massive fish stuffed in a tank only twice it's size with a depressing environment. The fish should be given away to better equipment aquariums and the place closed down. Disgraceful. Might be somewhat enjoyable for people who don't know anything about sea life or animals, but at the end of the day it's a cruel and miserable place.

The children were very pleased with the visit. Lots of fish with beautiful aquarium interiors. 30-min visit and then a lot of questions for the parents about the fish. This is how it should be so that children receive new information and explore the world. Thanks!

From the outside inconspicuous, very small. The little one really wanted to get in, so off we went. The price is reasonable, it is also cooled in the rooms. You see different animals and can read the names in several languages - very helpful. Because that's still some there, which one did not know at all. The layout is good, you have to go up or down several times due to the narrowness of the building, but the visit was still worthwhile and we were satisfied. Is worth a visit if you are in the city anyway and found it during a stroll.

Price is okay for what you can see there. But Animals are stored in small aquariums. Didnt have a good feeling watching animals stored like this.Lot of people so its hard to move around.

We spent a pleasant time under this Spring-like temperature, soaking up the sun and enjoying blue skies, especially now that it is not crowded as during summer. Kids are enjoying their fun park.

Wonderful and beautifully landscaped beach. It is covered with tiny pebbles. The sea is clean. There is a lot of shadows on the beach. There is also a city beach with a sand, but it is payable. There are many restaurants with good food and lots of bars and souvenir shops. Is very suitable for families with small children. On the beach is also a wonderful playground.

It's a city beach, but a nice one, coverd with sand and pebbles. There are chairs in one side, but you can also lay your towel or beach tent. There are nice playgrounds. To avoid the stones from the shore, you can get into the sea on the pier. There is also an elevator for the ones with disabilities.

Loved it! At popular time may be a little bit crowded, but usually it is very comfortable and clean.Also there are parts where mora sand than rocks which was perfect for kids.

I've been there in November, after the tourist season. There were no tourists there. It was very silent, calming. Beautiful views!

There are CLEAN stony and sandy beaches too, bars, sun beds for rent. Shower for 2 kuna, toilette for 3 kuna. Adventure elements: parasailing, speedboat-towed-"donut", ship tours.

Very nice beach with mixed sand and rocks. The best thing is, that after you enter the sea through rocks, there is bug area of pure sand you can stand on, that is perfect for playing games inside the water.

A smaller but very beautiful cave. Guided tour is possible only. The price is 6€ per person, a tour of about 60 meters of the cave is available. Teh cave is nicely lit, you can see many stalactites. The temparature in the cave is around 15 degrees. It is also suitable for children. The tour lasts about 20 minutes, the guide told us many things about the cave. I recommend a visit if you are on the island of Krk.

A nice cave to visit but entrance fee of 6€ for this small cave is too much. There are nice hikes around the area though.

The cave is small, but it is worth seeing. Due to the frequent visits of school groups, I recommend that you check by phone whether it is possible to enter the cave, even during the week.

Beautiful cave, the only one on the island of Krk open to tourists. The cave hides twenty-eight animal species, two of which are endemic, one is endemic. Also, long ago in this cave lived cave bears, an extinct species, whose remains of bones can be seen at the entrance to the cave. The cave itself is a little more than one hundred meters long and is not demanding, it is suitable for visitors of all ages.

Very beautiful place. Caves are very old. Must visit when you are coming to Krk island.There is a free car parking available near the caves. You can park there and walk about 300-500 meters to the caves. You can buy tickets at the counter Directly. There is also a tour guide available for free and he or she explains the details and history of the caves very well. Nice place to visit.

The tour guide was enthusiastic and did an excellent job, making the experience informative. Perfect for escaping the heat, with the cave consistently maintaining a temperature of 12 to 15 degrees.

(Side Note: explore around the area for other small caves and inlets.) bring a camera as there are tons of various species of butterflies, beetles and other insects. Nice little stalagmite cave, takes about 15-20 minutes to go through. Cool 15-17 degrees inside, perfect for cool down in the hot summer. 6€ for adults, 3€ for kids 12 and under.

Sweet little castle (not too big). Nice people, you also can enjoy some drinks in the middle :) Getting in and onto the tower is for free. From the tower you can see whole Rijeka! 👍🏼We were there on a Saturday and simultaneously it was Victory-Day in Croatia. Yet it wasn't too full of people :)We liked it there. Around the castle there are also many little cafés, bars, a winebar and ATM.We got hungry and went to "Pizzeria Pampas" (5min walk from there). Really good pizza and with a good service.If you go to Trsat Castle do yourself a favor and wear nice clothes :D Everyone is dressed up there.

A beautiful castle well maintained, we came from Rijeka by foot and had to go through a long staircase which made it more interesting also. The castle itself sits on a high place overlooking the sea and the city of Rijeka. Great place to take nice pics but mostly to learn about the history. You can access the crypt and can grab a drink at the bar (it was closed when I was there though). I highly recommend spending an hour or so checking this place out and enjoying the beautiful views.

Beautiful walk up to a stunning place with views over the entire city. The walk to the top will make you feel dead and alive at the same time! Loved the bar within the ancient ruins of the castle. Drinks are cheap and service friendly but slow given they are so popular. The surrounding town is quaint and cute with views over the whole of rijeka, really stunning place to catch some sun, culture and a drink!

Totally worth the trip. If you're driving there you should know that there's no dedicated parking lot but you can park by the road on the way up. The views from the castle are breath taking and they have a lovely cafe in the castle and several before the castle. During the week it's not crowded but there place is not big so it probably gets crowded on the weekends.

Beautiful Castel and the view is worth the hike. The cafe/bar inside is fantastic. Great music and best martini I’ve ever had and for only $5 euros! Highly recommend.

From the bottom to the historical old town we journeyed to the steps. It was amazing to take in the views has we climbed the over approx 32 flights of steps around 580+ steps. The temps were cool with a light misting rain helped.

This was my top place to visit in Rijeka. It did not disappoint. The weather was absolutely, blue skies! So interesting to see this beautifully kept, Medieval Castle. The information lady was very helpful. Afterward, we enjoyed a nice cappuccino while looking at the beautiful view of the city, and Adriatic Sea below us.

It's a magnificent castle. From center many stairs that can be a bit challenging to climb, but the view from the top makes it all worthwhile. Inside the castle, there's a restaurant, and the only negative thing is that I was hoping for a slightly larger one.

The place boasts a stunning view of Rijeka, complete with toilet facilities and a lovely bar. My wife ordered a Caipirinha (a Brazilian drink with cachaça), and it tasted just like the original. There are plenty of outdoor tables offering the same breathtaking view. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there; it's perfect for taking great photos and to simply sit and relax. I Highly recommend it.

Nice Castle to explore.They also have a cafe where you can have coffee or something to eat and just enjoy the view.There is no fee to visit and it wasn't busy when we visited a week ago (April 15).I highly recommend to visit this castle.

Paulicarus tends not to review ruins etc. But having got the No2 bus up for a whole 2€ each we popped in. No entry fee and great views. Took photos with Madge, Norma and Liza....and it is a castle with a bar! ( wake up and take note English Heritage.) Easy walk from bus stop. If I was still fit I would do the 570 steps up from below. Got to 50 yesterday and said "stuff this."

Probably the best observation deck in Rijeka. Very cozy place. There is a fair there and very beautifully decorated for Advent.

We stumbled upon this by chance and it was worth it. This is also a small castle but it was worth the stop, and the views were amazing.

Really many stairs to get up to the castle. Probably you need around 35’ from city center up to castle, all the way being just up. The castle isn’t big, but looks pretty well maintained and you can see everything around.

Taking somewhat couple of hundreds of steps going up there to the castle worth an amazing view on Rijeka. Castle isn't big but its nice and was free to enter. Inside there's the Cafe where you can have cold drinks or beer or coffee with a spectacular view on the city and coast.

Like many other statues in cities on the water, like Copenhagen, it's rather small. However, it's picturesque and is right along the main promenade so it's hard to miss.

Beautiful comfortable place. Lots of cafes with tasty and inexpensive food. I recommend visiting with your family as there are many interesting areas for children.

Definitely worth a little walk, or long walk, to come see this

The whole walk along the coast path is wonderful. Plenty of places to have a dip in the clear inviting sea. We didn't walk the whole length but found fabulous cafe called the Veranda when we ate a light lunch. It was up some steps, views were magnificent and food as lovely served under the coolness of the pergola.

Opatija je poznana po svoji dolgi obalni promenadi – sprehod po njej je posebno "wellness doživetje" in tudi priložnost za raziskovanje lokalne kulture..The sculptorkept his secret for 55 yearsuntil Mrs Jelena Jendrasic revealed the long-kept secret. It was actually her who served as the model for the mysterious statue of the maiden. It took over a year to make the sculpture, for which Mrs Jendrasic posed for hours. She passed away in 2015, but her statue of the Maiden with the Seagull still keeps looking at thedistant open Adriatic sea.

Very beautiful seaside attraction with a small inlet where boats are anchored. Usually there is someone playing music nearby, adding to the ambiance.

The place is very nice for a holiday. Hotels and restaurants in every corner. Lots of beaches and pools in hotels. The beach is really amazing with a long promenade, colorful and simply wonderful. The food is very tasty. Very nice people. There is a desire to go back there.

Walk down to the Obalno Setaliste Franje Josipa. Beautiful walkway by the sea.

Honestly my favorite village on the Croatian coast. It is a tiny, tucked in, fishermans dream. It is a place you would want to rent an apartment for 3 months and write a book. Also the restaurant selection in such a tiny place is insane. Some of the best restaurants in the region are not more than 5 minutes away. on foot. Truely a hidden gem.

Small, picturesque coastal town/ fishing village is a part of the city of Opatija. Take Lungomare seafront promenade from Opatija and enjoy this unique experience. Take a cup of coffee on the waterfront and just relax.

Kind people, good food, spectacular place.The road is in a very bad condition through the forest, be careful and drive slow!

Pleasurable interior and great service. Food and coffee was delicious. Prices affordable.

Starting point for one of the best hike trails uphill. Two trails, both ending in city Skrad. On one trail (left one) is a nice waterfall you can see. On other one (longer one), you can visit a cave. Best to go hiking when there is water, since you walk near small Creek. I highly recommend for active vacation.

The road to get there is disaster.Halfway we turned and left.If you want to destroy your vehicle, you definitely have to go down that road.

Mountain hut close to the Zeleni vir spring, waterfall and Vražji Prolaz (Devil's Passage). Available by car, offers food (stw and drinks. Tickets for Zeleni Vir and Vražji Prolaz are 25kn for each, or 10 for children.

Nice mountain hut and starting place for Zeleni vir (15 min) or Vražji prolaz (30 min) if you do not have time to walk all around from Skrad (2.5 h). Decent and favorable menu choice with must-try blueberry štrudla. Good choice for kids because of many walking bridges which gives them motivation to move forward 😀

A perfect spot to enjoy the nature. You can hike, you can grab a bite or you can wash your feet in the freezing river. Don't miss this out if you are in the area.

Speaking of the restaurant because I didn't stay the night in one of the rooms...Although the nature surrounding it is magnificent, therefore the location itself is great, with a small "playground" next to it, the terrace really needs a bit more of attention.A good sweep at least, parts of the terrace look like they weren't used in ages, almost resembling a hounted house. Tables were frequently left as they were left by the guests when they went away, dirty dishes, full ashtrays etc (quite a sight) whit the staff simply walking by it all, making it harder to find a decent spot to sit.Speaking of ashtrays asking for it or not makes apparently no difference as we got non in either cases. The food was ok, the prices are ok, the staff was ok and answered any questions we had.It would have been a 4 out of 5 if it was kept just a little cleaner. Removing weird ?furniture/construction? parts and "leftovers" left in the corners would have helped already 😂P.s. try avoiding a trip to the toilet!! 🤢
